Hello,
as far as I know Fortuna didn't release a FW upgrade for the Pocket Xtrack up until now. But I have read that someone has used the Xtrack2-FW of the Clip-on and flashed the Pocket Xtrack with it (see http://www.pocketnavigation.de/board/thread.php?threadid=15803&sid=&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=&page=13 , last item in the list shows a picture).

So I am wondering whether this is really a good idea. Reading all the information about the pro's and con's of XTrack2, I guess the best idea would be to flash the ST mode of the Pocket Xtrack with the Xtrack2 FW. Then I could use the Xtrack2 for car navigation ("ST") and the "old" Xtrack ("XT") for pedestrian applications (e.g. geocaching).

Anybody who has done such "stupid" things?

BTW, I found that I cannot switch from NMEA to SIRF mode when using the XT mode. Is this a problem of my card or normal behaviour?

Thanks.
Peter

Hello again,
now I have done this stupid thing. I have flashed my Fortuna Pocket Xtrack with the Clip-on firmware. And it seems to work, the delay is gone so in the car it seems to be an improvement against Xtrack1. But I have to figure out whether the reported problems regarding pedestrian applications exist.

Regards,
Peter
