Hi, I have been considering updating my (very old) Palm to something a bit more... modern! 8O
I have almost decided that I am going for an Ipaq2210, when I suddenly spotted the Aldi offer, and then started thinking about GPS Navigation.
I haven't got a clue as to what to purchase (though I'm still keen on the 2210), or how much to pay.
Any suggestions?

Hi aspinall_david27,

Welcome to the forum.

The iPAQ 2210 is a very good PDA, especially as it has Bluetooth and both SD and CF slots.

Whoa, easy there. Comments like the above won’t get people to help you!

You have to help us to help you. We need more information:
Where are you based (country)?
Do you walk, or just use the car?
Do you want to use user POIs (Points of Interest) i.e. Speed Camera database, etc?
How much do you want to pay?

Once you’ve decided what your requirements are, have a look at the reviews on this site for hardware and software.

For SatNav you will need:
PDA (iPAQ 2210 is an excellent choice)
Software (TomTom, CoPilot, Navman, etc)
GPS Receiver (either Bluetooth or wired)
Mounting system and power cables

Have a look at the advertisers on this site. They may well have a package of all of the equipment that you will need.

Alternatively, have you considered a single box solution like TomTom Go?

Regards,
