Upgrading from 2-3. There are 2 disks, but after loading the first one it all seems to work. What in disc 2 for please

There are different map cuts on disc 1 and 2. Whole countries, then 64MB, 32 MB, 16 MB chunks. It's all the same map data, so if you're all set with disc 1 you don't need disc 2
