This is a NON T-MOBILE unit which has no dedicated Simcard setup (UNLOCKED) straight from HP in Thailand, does anyone have any experience with this new IPAQ PDA Phone, I shall be collecting one this week and am looking to use it with a Bluetooth GPS, I currently use an XDAII with Rikaline X7, they work just great with TOMTOM-3, NAVIGATOR and MEMORY MAP software but having obtained this new IPAQ for my brother I would be interested to find peoples views on what is currently the best "Bluetooth" GPS to use.
Regards

The 6315 is an excellent all-rounder. You will have to understand that it has a slow processor (168 MHz) and not too much RAM (56 MB). Apart from that it has everything you may want. (Ok, no VGA screen) and then some.
I don't understand your second question - please be more specific. Asking "What is the best unit" is not helpful. _________________ Lutz

By "best Bluetooth GPS"
I meant which manufacturer has a Bluetooth GPS which has good build quaility, best receiption/warm-up and longest battery life of all the Bluetooth GPS units available and of course it has to work well with the H6315 PDA.
PS I am reasonably aware of it's capabillities as I had use of a "T-Mobile H6315 for a week in the USA earlier this year but didn't get the chance to use the Bluetooth with a GPS!
Best Regards

The BT stack on the 6315 is very complete, and the iPAQ works well with any BT GPS receiver.
My personal favourite is the DeLorme Blue Logger - because it has data logging with 50000 data points. _________________ Lutz

I have a HP iPAQ 6300 and a TOMTOM 3 navigator with a Bluetooth gps antenna.
I have so far not been able to get a GPS fix as the connection between the iPAQ and the antenna is terminated after app. 2 minutes.
What should the settings be? :Which com port? Paired or unpared? Encryption.
Please help.
