|
|
I have noticed that my clipon seams to be interfering with my radio reception.
When the unit is switched off I can receive a reasonable signal for Radio 2, if it is switched on I cannot get a signal.
Has anyone else noticed this, if so have they found a solution? _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Hi Mark,
I often run two iPAQs and two Fortuna Clip-Ons. They are all positioned around/over where the radio is. I’ve never had a problem listening to Radio 2, or a tape, or a CD whilst any of my gadgets have been running.
Do you have any interference problems listening to other radio stations?
How close is the Clip-On to your radio? What happens if you move the Clip-On to another part of your vehicle (nearer or further away)? Can you leave it on the rear parcel shelf?

I have tried the unit as far away from the radio as possible. This is the only item in the car that could be causing the problem.
If I switch the receiver off I do get a reception for Radio 2, when it is switched on I do not! _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Hi Mark,
Can you try the Clip-On in another vehicle?
The only other suggestions are:
Borrow (if you can) another Clip-On and try it in your car.
Seek the advice of a qualified car electrician or ICE installer.
Buy another Clip-On or different BT GPS Receiver.
Sorry, I’m afraid that I can’t think of any other suggestions for you.

Thank you Robert for your help.
I have spoken to Global Positioning Systems who have agreed to swap my clip-on v1 with a new V2 device to see if this helps.
I will let you know if it does. _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

I have received my replacement Clip-on from Global Positioning Systems.
Unfortunately I am still having problems listening to Radio 2 with the unit switched on. Looks like I am going to have to cut my losses and sell this one on ebay and get something else:!: _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |
