Lovely forum here, nice freindly advice and after reading a few posts, decided to become a member...
dunno about the rest of you but my main purpose of using and learning gps will be for ease of navigation throughout scotland.
My job involves multi drops in a 7.5 tonne LF to farms and stables/remote locations throughout scotland, All of these are a pain to find at best of times and even on landranger maps, some aint there!!
Important things to me are, weight limits, heights/restrictions, speed cams, and quickest routes through the day, also exact poi's of farms to which i hope to build a poi file for scotland, this hopefully will be in one file, but may need to be split up into sections.
I dont even have GPS yet, just using a laptop with autoroute 04 on, still sourcing a gps antenna and a 24 volt charger for laptop (anyone any ideas, gimme a shout) |
