I have seen in the main CoPilot thread, that CoPilot can lockup on re-routing.
This also happened today using the CoPilot Smartphone version, I deviated off route, ignored the turn for it's new route, then the animated spinning wheel (routing symbol) locked up. I had to exit CoPilot, then go back in and it then worked (it still had the destination, so was immediately able to start navigation again).

Interesting, I have yet to experience a lockup on the SmartPhone version, only the PPC version. I'll pass this onto ALK. |

Did the same journey again today and same lockup.
Also had a lockup later on another part of the journey, but rather that come out of CoPilot and back in, I left it, after about 30 seconds, that system came back to life and worked fine.

Okay, can you do me a favour, this could be valuable info. Dock your phone in the cradle (or via ActiveSync Cable).
Dive into ActiveSync Explorer, browse to \Storage Card\my documents\gpstracks
copy the Sep2704.gps (assuming your date on your phone is set correctly) and copy this to your PC.
Can you then mail me this with the address you were driving to (send to dave _at_ pocketgpsworld.com).
Make sure you put the subject COPILOT TRACK FILE.
I'll try this on my Qtek8080 I have here and see if it locks up. If you have no objection I'll also forward it to ALK as this may help in resolving the issue. |

Just in case you're wondering (or anyone else) the GPS Track file can be used in demo mode to simulate the drive you did, so it should in theory also lock up for me and for ALK. I can use this to simulate driving the route you drove and get the same prompts that you received, and in theory should see the same lock-ups.
If it does, then we can use this to determine what's causing the problem and this may help fix atleast the smartphone version and maybe the desktop version. |

E-mail done, feel free to share it with ALK.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I'm out of the office today but I'll try it tonight when I get a chance. |

I get these lockups all the time. You can make it happen by setting a destination and then driving such that it has to reroute 5 or 10 times. Eventually it will lock up with an error. _________________ Gone fishing! |
