|
|
I bought tomtom mobile the other day and i was told that it was a simple plug and play installation.....insert card, power up and switch on gps unit and away you go.
i done everthing as told, but when i inserted the mmc card into my 6600 nothing came up,not even the icon.....i looked through the mmc on my pc and all the right files seemed to be there.
in the frustration of all this i reformatted the mmc card to see if it was working properly, but in the meanwhile i also forgot to copy the files from the mmc BEFORE i formatted it!!
so i was basically left with an empty tomtom MMC card
looking through the net i found the actual tomtom mobile program,i downloaded it and installed it....it actually showed up and worked this time.
but the first tomtom menu that came up was one that said "No maps Found".....and i realised that i didnt have the UK maps installed on the MMC card as the program file was only about 13mb.
so i have tomtom up and running now,i asked tech support if they could send me the map....and they basically said "its your own fault for formatting the card......goodbye" very abruptly.
and now all i need to get this thing working is the map...ive asked on a few forums and some people seem to say that i can use tomtom navigator maps and install them onto the MMC and it should work.
can somebody with tomtom mobile tell me what format and where the files for the UK map actually go?
thanks guys |

Go back to the store where you bought TomTom Mobile and ask the guys there to re-load the MMC card. _________________ Lutz
