Can someone please help me - I'm a newbie and want to download the pocketgps speed cam data into my new Navman ICN510, but I just can't figure out how to get the data into the desktop download software in a format it can read. It seems to need sv format but I tried this and can't get it to recognise it.
Also I'd love to know if I could set the unit up to give a speedcam verbal warning wth the speedlimit recognised - is this feasible?
Thanks

As to the first bit, the data needs to be in the format
-5.15809, 50.16376, "GATSO:1"
You can use Notepad to do a "Find and replace" to get the data in this format.
If you can't do it, I can send you the files as an attachment.
Unfortunately the second bit is impossible. SmartST only allows one sound warning for *any* active Custom POIs. However, it is easy to change this from the 'chime' supplied to something more 'alarming'!
Use Activesync to explore your device and navigate to the
Program Files\Navman\SmartSTPro\Sound
directory. Rename the file cosmicl.wav to anything, then substitute your own .wav file and rename it cosmicl.wav _________________ Tim |

Fantastic - did as you suggested using notepad and got the data in! Ace - thanks.
I Will now download the full db and get it working. I'll try the sound mod too.

Good news then. Just make sure you use Notepad too manipulate the data, not Excel. Excel doesn't show the data in its native format, so you might have extra characters, usually "" left in. _________________ Tim |
