Car mount for a Mio 168

Hi, real newbie here, just got the Mio 168 with CP5 (from Evesham).....First impressions are very good.....

I have it in a VW Sharan, the windscreen is too far away and a poor angle for mounting it on the windscreen, so tried mounting on the storage box on the dash, good visibility, but the mount comes keeps coming loose. I would prefer a permanent/semi permanent fixing to keep it from falling off, preferably with a cradle that supplies the power rather than having to put the lead in and out every time.

Does anyone one have any suggestions or experience of fitting in a VW Sharan (or Ford Galaxy/Seat Alhambra) please??

I've just got the Mitac 168 too...and very pleased with it.
