is it limited in its knowledge?

Which Speed Camera POI Database are you using as there are many?

How many POI categories have you selected to display when running TomTom?

Okay,

There could be a couple of reasons why you cannot see the cameras:

1) They are not in the version of the POI database that you have. Try downloading the latest version of the Pocket GPS database. You can find this on the left hand of the screen under "Points of Interest" or you can go to POI handler and download the different types of Cameras. This will cost you around £8 for a years subscription. Have a look at the webpage that I have set up link at the bottom of this page.

2) Although you have set a max of 22 POI's on the screen you may have lots of different POI's that you have selected in "Properties" ->"POI". Try restricting the number of selected POI's to around 19-20. The reason for this is that depending on the performance of the PDA and where the Navigator Map is located can affect the performance on picking up POI's.

I had lots of problems with my PDA when I started. I found that the following config worked perfectly for me:

Tom Tom on Main Memory
Tom Tom Maps on SD Card
POI's on SD Card
Voice and audio warning files on Main memory
PostCode Search Util on SD Card

Also there has been alot mentioned about slow SD cards which may cause problems in reading data quickly.

Try this and see how you get on.
