Wired GPS problem with com port 1

I have been using TT3 on my xda 2 for months with no problem. I dropped it today, and it did a hard reset. I have reinstalled TT3, but it now says " cannot open com1: port does not exist", when you tap to activate the gps receiver. Any ideas?

This is almost an XDAII FAQ

Start | Settings - Connections - Beam

Untick 'Receive all incoming beams' and you will be able to access Com1

And it caught me out last night having Hard Reset mine for a spring clean!
