Which GPS receiver?

Hi,
I currently have a Jornada PPC with a wired Haicom HI-203E and TOM TOM navigator 3.

All worked well for a few months but then the dreaded cracks started appearing around the edge of the 203E receiver (sun damage or something, discussed in other strings). Now the receiver is totally dead, no led flashing or otherwise, no communication with PPC.
Question No 1.
What is the best wired replacement.
Question No 2.
I am interested in the USB 204e from Global Positioning Systems. Can I use it with my PPc via the PS2 plug and then connect it to the PS2 to USB cable supplied to use it with my laptop with Infomap Navigator.

Any help with these questions would be appreciated.
Also has anyone had any experience of the 203e just dying like that.

If you want an excellent, tried and trusted wired receiver go for the Royaltek RGM 2000. And it looks nice, too...
