|
I have an ipaq 3970 with wince2002 and a Navman 3450 i have installed SmartST Pro, Gps info, Serial driver 3.1.6 and rom update.
It works with SmartST and TomTom but i'm not able to find the gps port with Destinator 3 or other programs like Vito Navigator II. I've tried to force the port 5 or 6 but nothing.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall all the programs but no way ...
Any body can halps me ?????

as far as I can recall it is on COM4, and you need to set the speed to 57600 _________________ Lutz

One problem on the 3970 is that most COM ports are already occupied (by BlueTooth and by the CIR infrared as well as the standard infrared. The jacket may have placed itself on COM0: - something that not many programs understand or include.
Can you try to move some of your ports around? For example the BT Manager alows you to manipulate the incoming and outgoing BT serial ports. _________________ Lutz

There is a utility available from Franson Technologies (the makers of GPSGate) that allows to enable/disable physical ports on your machine. But this is definitely something you do at your own risk...
