Problem with Akron powered mount tilt/swivel

Hi

I've purchased an Akron powered mount from handnav and although it's a bit bulky I have found the speaker to be excellent. I use it in my Ford Mondeo on the vent mount and I have occasion to drive a transit so for that I use the very powerful window sucker. The problem I'm having is using the Tilt/Swivel mount in my car. There doesn't seem to be enough resistance to stop it swivelling through 90 degrees at the slightest bump in the road or if I turn. It's very disconcerting seeing my beloved Ipaq about to fall from the mount.

Is this a common problem or have I got a faulty one?
