Leadtek 9532 - Questions

Hi,

New to GPS, I was looking into various 'smart' antenna gps receivers. I quite like the Leadtek 9532, and the config utility looks quite friendly.

Other is Globalsat BU-303...but the config software that is supplied dont look very professional but has better accuracy on paper than leadtek.

Which would you guys recommend for performance and reliability?

Also whats the difference between avtive and passice antenna?

I can't speak from a comparison point of view - but I bought the leadtek last week from ebay

Chucked it on my dashboard - plugged it in, and put my pda on my knee (cos im STILL waiting for my mounting kit from navcity to arrive)

It took about 30 seconds I reckon to find the satellites - locked onto at least 6 and was very accurate

Went for a drive for an hour and it reacts very quickly - 100% accurate positioning, really pleased with it

And it only cost me £61 including postage

I'm hoping to get it all wired in properly next weekend (if my car kit comes in the post)
