Map view is always noth up. Navigation view is heading up, and there is no way to change that.

Do you mean the navigation screen?
The map view is allways orientated North. If you set "keep GPS position on screen" in properties, then you can use this view to navigate with. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you still get voice directions whilst in this view.
In navigation view, there is no way to keep the map orientated North. |

no voice prompts in map mode (there must be a reason it's called map mode, and not navigation mode) 8) _________________ Lutz

Me wrong. You don't get voice prompts in map mode. |

Yes, you should have been more specific. There is no "Navigation map view". There is a map view (north up) and a navigation view (heading up) and there's nothing you can change about it. _________________ Lutz

Nice 8) Do you actually realize that I had to learn the meaning of the word before I could understand your mild insult ? Learning something new every day ;-) Thanks! _________________ Lutz

lbendlin, I have to sympathize with Nobber, I do think that your tone towards myself and Nobber was a little arrogant. |

I do apologize if I have sounded arrogant (I am german, that may have had some influence). I was just correcting your terminology, and I was trying to make you understand that the question had been answered already in my first response to Nobber. _________________ Lutz

No worries and no hard feelings.
When I started to type the original reply, your's had not appeared yet.
