Hi
I can't get Followme to work with my new Socket BT GPS. I've set it to the correct Com port (8), but it still doesn't seem to be receiving anything from the Socket.
Has anyone got a similar setup and has had similar problems?
Cheers

Do you have TomTom Navigator 2, GPS 2.08 installed ? If so, uninstall the TomTom ~ GPS driver in REMOVE PROGRAMS and soft reset the Pocket PC and you should be good to go. |

Ah, will try that Dave, thanks. I do have TomTom installed, my brother's CD - I tried it driving the other day, and it wasn't particular good (I think it's TomTom CityMaps). It kept going off the road, and the roadnames were sparse.
I'll remove all TomTom on it and try Followme,

Well, I'm back from my trip - Happy New Year to everyone - but have to report that FollowMe is hopeless. Standing still, with at least 9 fixed sats, it reported me as moving at 20km/h. The little green snake was moving all over the place, and it was a completely wasted purchase.
Am I the only PocketPC GPS user who craves having such an application? No one else seems interested, and there are only 2 programs I know of including Followme. I was bushwalking and trekking in Aus - I wasn't too concerned in topographical data, as I knew the area well enough. But on occasion I took a new route, and having a program similar to Followme would have been so invaluable.
Having a clear display of your altitude, direction, compass direction, and tracking your path (this should be vaguely intelligent - i.e. when starting out, it should show you your movements by the metre. After 50m of walking, it should zoom "out" a bit so it shows you your entire path.)
One day maybe...
