Hi
I'm new to all this GPS stuff
I've just got tom tom3 and checkpoint set up on my 2210.
how do I get checkPOInt to tell me there's a scamera coming up?
also once I know how to save a sound file, where do I get them from?
This is the last piece in the puzzle for me, so as soon as my seideio craddle turns up i'll be out on the road and my laptop and road angel will be consigned to the bin :D |

hiya try this as this is what i have done start checkpoint and on the icon on the bottom right select overlay settings open a folder ie traffic camera's then sub folder cameras, now high light ie press once so it turns blue then select properties .
after the click on first warning & on teh bottom you will see sound to play click on teh 3 dots box on then scroll down to which sound you want it to play then press ok
repeat for speed & last warning , it does take awhile to sort out ,
if there is another way please correct me as this is how i did it .
i ended up using windows\alarm1.wav as the voice promts were very soft
hope this helps |

Hi m8
thanks for the reply.
I found an even easier way this morning :D
On the checkPOInt website, there are some sound files sent in by users (thankyou 8) ) in the zip file there is also a readme.txt file which tells how to copy and paste the files in to the correct folder.
from there it was as you said with the first and last warnings.
my pda now sounds a siren and a voice prompt @ 30 seconds before and then another voice prompt at 10 seconds.
I think i'll go out in the wifes car and test it later :P |
