I have recently obtained a Navcam sleeve for my old Ipaq 3630 but cannot be sure if it can be used or not or even if I am using it correctly. I have only obained the sleeve and the screen holder and the 128MB CF card with the s/w installed on it, I have not got any CD roms or manuals with it. I have installed the s/w from the CF card and the IPAQ sees the sleeve but I cant get a fix on any satellites. Any information would be gratefully received. I am unsure of the model of the Navcam other than on the front of the sleeve it is listed as an IPAQ Navigtional SYSTEM and Navcam is printed in the inner label. I beleive the s/w on the card is Pocket co-pilot. At the end of the day if the sleeve is no use I only paid a tenner for it and may be able to use the 128MB CF card.
Cheers.

I have tried the sleeve with the GPS info program Ver 1.3 & Winfast Navigator and the sleeve appears to work okay. My next question would be will tom tom 3 or a previous version work with the sleeve. If the opinion of any experienced users is to just ditch the sleeve then please say so and I will dump it. the initial setup time seemed over an hour before it picked up any info. Re Pocket Co-pilot is there ny point in using that package or is it too out of date.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The sleeve is certainly not the fastest or most reliable receiver. Depends on if you want to spend any money or not...
CoPilot has just come out in the much improved version 5, including newer maps. Have a look at the review. _________________ Lutz

Thanks Lutz, I will look at the review. I have also a HP 2210 and a TT hardwired GPS and TT3, I find it really good but as I got the sleeve so cheapI thought it would be fun to play round with but I am not sure if I will have the patience or not. I am ery new to this as I only got the 2210 less than 7 days ago. A steep learning curve I fear. I wish I had known bout the site prior to my original purchase. Again thank you for the assistance.
