Bluetooth GPS charging?

Have tom-tom 3 running on an IPAC 4150 with Bluetooth gps.
This is used in an Arkon PDA car mount when is car.
Problem i have is car mount will power the PDA unit, but the outlet for accessories only puts out 5V(1.5amp) but the GPS unit requires 5V(2.0amp) so it does not charge the Bluetooth GPS unit.
So when on a long journeys I loose the use of the unit because I cannot charge it on the go.
Has anyone come across this problem and solved it.

Hmm... I doubt the GPS unit draws 2 A when charging (that's just what its separate charger is capable of delivering). It's rather somewhere around 400 mA. You should be able to charge the Pocket PC and the GPS at the same time.
