Hi there, my 1st time, hope i get it right.
From Blueboy. I have read though comments about this update SP27073 from HP. But has anyone had the Ipaq screw up as mine did last week, I got the message it would take 60 mins. So I want for a coffee, when I got back a message on my PC screen said "verifying the information on your ipaq pocket PC" two hours later, it was still the same.
the ipaq screen had USB top of the screen HP middle and v1.08 at the bottom of the screen. Next morning was still the same. HP say give it a soft reset, but active sync can not find the device now. I at wits end with £200 notes up the shoot.

I would love to hear some good news. regards Blueboy.

Message back.
When you soft reset does the 2210 operate as normal (apart from sync)?
Are you connecting to the PC directly or via a hub (hub is bad!)
If you post this in the forums I will endeavour to help, because of the volume of email I receive I cannot respond in detail via email.

Regards
Darren Griffin

My reply, The Ipaq is now not resonding to soft reset at all, screen had been on for a few days. I will charge battery on caddy on its own.

If you restart the ROM upgrade (ignoring the fact that ActiveSync doesn't recognize the 2210) - what does it say?

Hi Lutz, I put ipaq into cradle with display showing
usb / hp invent / V1.08.
I restarted the program ( GWupgradeut.exe ) rom upgrade a message came up on PC's to say
verifying the information on you ipaq pocket PC ...Please wait.
the ipaq display did not change at all. I left this an hour before closing gwupgradeut.exe down in windows task manager.

I have had e-mail back from HP to ask me to carry out a hard reset, remove cradle uninstall software activesync and download new version 3.7.1. Then carry out a soft reset.

Sorry to say not good,
I carried out the hard reset, which displayed a Ambulance in the middle of the Ipaq's screen.
I then removed the Cradle from the PC and uninstalled ActiveSync.
Switched off PC reconnected Cradle downlaod 3.7.1 from Microsoft's site.
PC found new hard ware but ActiveSync could not find Cradle and Ipaq, reported " No connection available "
Then as asked I carried out a soft reset, which brougt the display back to USB / HP invent / V1.08 again.

I am not to shaw what to do next.

I just did the same thing. Killed my Ipaq H2215 by trying to update with SP27073 ROM. Now it is stuck on USB/invent/v1.08 bootloader. Sad
