Here is a recent install I performed for my TomTom Bluetooth GPS Receiver. The kit is a TomTom powered holder (for 38xx iPAQ's) and adapted to suit the 5450 I have. Basically the connector is a little too far forward to make the 5450 easy to insert but you can solve this by placing a very thin piece of plastic into a small gap at the front of the connector forcing it back a little to allow easy insertion of the iPAQ 5450.
The power is hardwired into the fuse panel and then routed under the dash to the TomTom cradle, the supplied wiring was too think and made for a large panel gap, so I stripped the covering from the cable and used some black heat shrink tubing to make a neat finish.
The mounting solution I used to fix it to the dashboard is a smartclip. The mount attaches to the smartclip via a modified holder from the TomTom kit that was originally a vent mount.
The Bluetooth GPS receiver sits on the dashboard using it’s rubber base to stop it from moving and when not in use goes into the glove box on a mag mount (it does work in the glove box too!)
