X-Factor's Peter Dickson Lends Voice To SatNav Systems

Article by: robert
Date: 4 Jan 2011

pocketgpsworld.comThe voice of Peter Dickson will soon become even more of a familiar sound in the UK.

Peter Dickson, who provides voice-overs for the X-Factor, is now lending his voice to satnav devices. Individuals not familiar with his face, have probably heard his voice if they've ever watched the show or a myriad of other UK television programs.

This time around, instead of announcing performers on X-Factor, Dickson will be providing driving instructions in his original and memorable voice.

In addition to X-Factor, Dickson has provided voice work for many other popular television programmes, for example, Harry Hill's TV Burp, Family Fortunes, Britain's Got Talent and a host of others.

Unless an individual has been living under a rock or doesn't watch television, chances are they're familiar with Peter Dickson's voice, even if they don't realize it.

The satnav's navigational instructions narrated by Dickson, will include statements such as "Oh dear speed limited exceeded, you naughty boy!". "Are we ruddy there yet!" will be another musing.

You can download his voice, compatible with the top three Satnav manufacturers, TomTom Garmin and Navman, at Nav-Voices.co.uk for £7.95.
