VAT Up but our Speed Camera Database still £19.99
Article by: Darren Griffin Date: 1 Jan 2010
Thanks to our ever benevolent Government, VAT returned to 17.5% as of today.
We have decided not to pass on this increase to our membership and so a subscription to our speed camera database will remain at £19.99.
An additional 2.5% may not seem like much but even on £19.99 that means the Chancellor gets almost 50p more from every subscription. Nice business eh?
If as is feared, the Chancellor chooses to hike VAT again later this year we may not be able to avoid a price increase at that point but for now, nothing changes and our database is even better value.
To subscribe, click here and get immediate access and 12 months unlimited updates for up to three devices with access to our world-wide data for just £19.99.

That's very nice but I don't recall the cost dropping to £19.56 for the last year or so to reflect the 15% rate!
It's stayed the same price right through.

Happily. It actually dropped to £16.99 following the VAT reduction and stayed at that price point for 6 months.

I've just noticed that for £19.99 you can use up to three devices. Is this new?
As a lifetime member then I can now download to my 3 TomToms?

The three devices in a single household has been around for some time it certainly isn't new, but your quite right there is nothing stopping you putting the data on your three devices - Mike

I did not know that! My work supplies a Go 520 & I have a Go 700 plus a One New Edition for my own cars. Good news.

This has been the case ever since we moved to a commercial service. The terms are "A subscription allows you to use the Speed Camera Warning Database on a maximum of three devices owned by you or members of your immediate family who live at the same address."
