TI WiLink 80 Mixes WLAN GPS ANT BT FM NFC more

Leading chip maker Texas Instruments has unveiled the WiLink 8.0 product family. A single-chip solution with a collection of variants that offers a combinations of the radios used in modern portable devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.
The range comprises of 15 different combinations, each featuring different mixes of five radios. The chip design includes the RF front ends, power management and support systems.
The GNSS radio supports Navstar and GLONASS and includes a complete position engine on the chip to reduce power consumption. It also supports Wi-Fi location positioning augmented by Bluetooth, ANT+ and NFC sensors.
As well as GPS, radio support is also available for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, MIMO, SISO, Bluetooth, ANT+, NFC and FM receive and transmit.
