Speed Camera Discount Ends Sunday
 Spring is here and this means it is time for our winter speed camera subscription discount to end.
We reduced the cost back in December as a seasonal discount reducing it from £19.00 to £16.99. Prices will be going up on Monday so this weekend is your last chance to take advantage of the reduced price. We have not increased our price above £19.99 in the three years we have been offering the database yet in that time we have moved from monthly releases to twice monthly and then weekly so the subscription is better value than ever.

Just to clarify the subscription renewals as we have been getting a few questions about it.
If your current subscription ends on say May 25th 2009 and you renew today your existing subscription will be extended for 1 year to May 25th 2010.
However if you do subscribe before the deadline and you use the PayPal recurring subscription then you will be charged again in 12 months time. Your subscription will continue to be extended from the expiry date though.

Is it possible to buy a subscription as a present - I know someone who is getting a TT satnav for his birthday and I would like to buy a subscription here for him.
Is this possible and could it be kept until next saturday as that is his birthday?

We don't have a process for buying on behalf of another but there are options open to you.
If they have an account and you know their user-name you can contact us at subscriptionsATpocketgpsworld.com. we can issue a PayPal invoice to you and once paid we can attach a subscription to their account on their birthday and let them know, we'll even wish them a Happy Birthday and let them know who to thank?
If they don't have an account, you can create one for them and set-up a subscription. You can then give them the log-in details on their birthday and they can change the associated email address. None of your payment details are disclosed if you do this.
If you do want to do something, drop us an email and I'm certain we can sort something out that works for you?

I found a wonderful irony in this announcement being made in one of those very rare weeks in which there was no new database released...but waited until today to say so, so as not to spoil the pitch.
