Satmap Launch Xpedition Online Route Planning Application

Satmap have taken the wraps of Xpedition, their new online mapping, route planning and sharing application.
The new app is a fully featured route planner offering easy route planning, route and track sharing. Using Microsoft's Bing mapping platform it offers a split screen view that allows you to see different scale maps side by side.
Additional layers from Ordnance Survey's 1:25k Explorer and 1:50k Landranger map series and a range of international mapping are also available.
Routes can be saved online or downloaded in GPX format for use with most common GPS devices. Routes in GPX format can also be uploaded and edited in the application. Xpedition can be accessed on any computer with internet access, map rendering and other graphics intensive operations are all handled in the cloud so you do not need a powerful computer to use the service.
Two versions are available, Xpedition Free and Premium. Xpedition Premium provides full functionality plus access to international top maps for £30 per year. Existing registered customers of Satmap's Online Route Planner will receive one year's free access to Xpedition Premium. New customers purchasing an Active 10 Plus or Active 10 Bike will receive 3 months complimentary access.
