Over 300 Cameras added to New Israeli Speed Camera Database

pocketgpsworld.comThe Israeli's haven't had the most pleasant life for some time now and to make things worse the authorities have been increasing their use of both fixed and mobile camera sites. Enter PocketGPSWorld.com user 'tobenary'! tobenary, and a group of like-minded Israelis, have been teaming up via a Yahoo Group to collect the locations and directional data of 347 known mobile and fixed camera sites across Israel. These have now been included in the PocketGPSWorld.com data as yet another country available to every single subscribed member. Remember, we charge one price regardless of how many country's data you wish to download!

The Israeli camera data will be available in the 'Asia' download from Wednesday 13th May 2009 and the locations can already be seen on the submission map. The Yahoo Group is here (note, it's in Hebrew - try this link for a translated version!).

I would be interested to know why Israel will be placed in the 'Asia' download and not the 'Africa' download.

I have to agree with MaFt, not just cos he is my little brother Wink , but also the fact that Israel is in western Asia.

Hi "1topgun1" and welcome....
That link to Yahoo was just for the group who collected the cameras.
The actual download is available from this site in the same way as you get the UK cameras.

Once you are registered, the download page is here:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras&referer=SideBar (the same as you get to by clicking on any of the blue camera signs around the site (like just to the left).

Select your SatNav system and click "Continue" then the next selection box lets you choose UK/ Europe/Australasia/Africa/USA/Asia/Canada.
