Google uses tiny camera to map model city
Article by: Darren Griffin Date: 14 Jan 2016
Miniatur Wunderland is a vast and incredibly detailed model city in Hamburg, Germany. Famed for it's detail including moving traffic, a working airport and much more it now has another claim to fame, Google Street View.
Not content with sending Street View along the canals of Venice, Google created a small camera capture system, mounted on a tiny vehicle and train, so they could be driven along the roads and rail tracks of Wunderland.
You can take a look at the end result here, see if you can find the model Street View car, complete with roof mounted cameras.
