Is that one of the Proclip mounts? If so that's not what I'm looking for. The mounting position Brodit have come up with for my car is completely unsuitable. Hence asking for a vent mount. |

have a look at the mount's for the original tt1 on brodits web site, i would suspect the mount for the tt1v2 will be the same style but the fitting modified to suit the tt1v2
Item no Product
215119 Active Holder, Tilt Swivel
Item no Product
215103 Mount with tilt swivel
if this is not what you want then best of luck you'll need it |

That's not what I'm looking for. I stand ready to be corrected but these are not vent mounts? |

Brodit and many others do something called "proclip". These generally fit onto a dashboard, clipping or otherwise onto existing trim etc. Then, the user can affix a PDA/Phone/whatever holder onto this.
What you are looking for I think, is a generic vent mount (that fits on any vent and will have a blank mounting plate on it). Onto this mounting plate you can then attatch anything you like, such as the long awaited V2 TT holder.
The TTONE V2 holder will just be that, a holder. It wont have any sort of mounting system built in. It will be designed to affix to a brodit proclip or other mounting platform.
So, you are looking for just a vent mount and then the new TT1 V2 holder from brodit when it comes out.

Looks like you will need both the vent and brodit mount to work. |

Hi MarkHewitt,

May I ask why it was unsuitable?
What’s the make, model, and year of manufacture of your car?
Brodit often make two or more ProClips for popular vehicles. Most of the Brodit ProClips are well designed.

You may, in fact I'll illustrate its unsuitability,

As you can see it's mounted down the far left of the dashboard, completely out of eye line when driving. I've had someone hold a sat nav in that position before when driving and it's more than a little dangerous, especially when compared to mounting it (right hand vent pictured) which is ideal.

I think that the mounting plate on this would fit the Brodit holder. Can anyone else confirm? If not, drop GPSforless a line.
Best of luck! _________________ Jock

That looks like the sort of thing!
Now the only problem is making sure it stays on the vent, as they have a habit of falling off, but usually hairbands and a paperclip can resolve that :P |
