Installing Smartpath

Can someone tell me how to install the software that comes free with the Navman 500? When ever I try to install it all that happens is Microsoft active sync runs and says next time the mobile device is added it will install. The palm uses hotsync and I can’t install the maps. I have uninstalled active sync and now when ever I select install from the cd I get an error box pop up with nothing written inside it.



Any help would be appreciated

If you have software that installs inside ActiveSync, it sounds like you have the wrong software.



ActiveSync is to do with Pocket PC, not Palm OS.





All I can suggest is contacting Navman - unless you've got a dual software pack and you've somehow mistakenly chosen the Pocket PC version. It sounds like you may have the wrong CD. The GPS 500 is very clearly a Palm OS product!

Thats exactly what I thought and I have contacted Navman twice but no reply from them as yet. I will keep emailing them till I get response or I will ship the item back to them and as for a refund.

I am having exactly the same problem can you tell me if you are using windows XP sp1, laptop or desktop? Their support seems to misunderstand my problem!!!!

Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
