|
|
I have been recommended to look at a Garmin as a replacement for our old TomTom GO 920, but it is difficult to know where to start.
Is there a comparative table of features anywhere?
(The particular features of interest to us that I am aware of being missing from, or inadequately implemented, on current TomTom models are:
- user-defined POIs: creating them on the device while out and about, then copying them to a PC for amalgamation with other POI sets and reimporting to the device
- creating multi-point itineraries and saving them for re-use.) |

As per your other thread every Garmin will do that provided you get one with trip planner. You'll need to decide what else is important?
Note I am assuming you're using the term POI where Garmin uses favourites? You create favourites on the device, and can them merge them with other data on your PC.
I'd certainly recommend you get one with digital traffic, so you need one that ends with LMT-D, that indicates life time maps and digital traffic. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I'm sure there is, or was, a compare feature on Garmin's website.
Shows all features with a yes/no check against each feature. _________________ DashCam:

There's a comparison chart here that might help. _________________ Anita

Thanks for the links. Plenty to get my teeth into.
Am I right in thinking that Drive models are newer than Nuvi and intended to supersede them? |
