Can I connect my Go 530 to an ordinary Bluetooth earpiece ?
I've tried 2 different ones and although The TT 'finds' the earpiece it baulks when I input the password 0000 although that is the password the instructions for the earpieces say.
If I can get it connected I guess it will it disable the Bluetooth hands free connection with my phone ? |

For the headset to work with the TomTom it needs to support the Bluetooth A2DP protocol, very few earpiece devices will offer this as most employ HFP which the TomTom can't use.
Bluetooth earpiece devices will only support a single connection, so even if it supports A2DP it will work with either the phone OR the TomTom but not both at the same time.
I use something called iO-Play in the car which can connect to the phone using HFP and the TomTom using A2DP and routes all the audio including phone conversations via the cars speaker system, this negates wearing the earpiece - Mike |

Hi young-goat, I know that this is no help what-so-ever but I have been trying for the last 1/2hr to find a post about listening to TT bluetooth using a cheap ear-piece and an adapter whilst riding a motorcycle. The post was about 6-9 months ago, the pieces were Chinese and bought off of e-bay. Scala Bluetooth was also mentioned in the thread, but this was a cheaper alternative. I thought the method was so good, I posted back to say how good i thought it was so that I would always be able to find the post using the "My Posts" filter. Unfortunately, I cant remember any of the other authors either.
I have tried several "searches" using many combinations of the above KeyWords. But I can't find it, no matter how many times I trawl ( ) through the results.
I'll keep looking, but hopefully this post may jog somebody else's memory. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

It's available from UK sellers too. Just Google "Bluedio E9"
THIS one has it for £16.37 and you can get a bright green wig to go with it! |
