There have been a very large number of SatNavs introduced over the last couple of years. The technology has evolved to a point where it is not the hardware function that differentiates the PNDs, but the features and design of the device.
Last year we got a peek at the Fujitsu Loox N100, a small, stylish SatNav. After visiting Navigon a few weeks ago we walked away with a review sample. The Loox N100 with Northern Europe maps retails at £230.

The reason you were unable to get any TMC info is nothing to do with the ariel, although the standard ariels are complete rubbish, even connecting the TMC receiver to your car's ariel will not mak any difference as Navigon have shafted us here in the UK again!!
You may not be surprised to hear that I have Navigon 6 running on my Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox C550 + GNS FM9 TMC receiver and the TMC does not work.
I have emailed Navigon on several occaisons and have had no replies, I did however read on other bulletin boards that TMC is deffinately not supported here in the UK.
THANKS A BUNCH NAVIGON _________________ If it ain't broke then fiddle with it until it is! |

This Fujitsu Loox N100 at £130 is the gadget of the year IMHO.
AND you get all European street level maps inc.
It is small enough to go in any pocket and the info on maps is
incredible, much better than the TeleAtlas in my Merc.
I bought it to carry around when out of the car ; and that brings
up my one gripe --- Static Navigation , which gives position updates
about every 50 metres.
I have tried all I can find and still haven't managed to disable it.
Couldn't get SirfDemo to connect to it.
Any suggestions welcomed.

I don't know how to get SirfDemo to communicate with the N100 (I came here hoping to find out), but I have found out how to turn off static navigation along with some other useful info: http://www.eioohelppoo.org/~jaatinet/?page_id=248 |
