alex_d = I'm having the same problem.
My NAVMAN 520 shows some Speed Cameras but not others. When it does show the cameras, I get no warning of the camera is approaching but it is shown on the map.
What have I done wrong been to http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php for the latest downloads. I've up loaded the "pocketgps_uk_sc.* " file to my navman. Should I've done as requested just the "pocketgps_uk_gatso.* "
Any ideas out there ?
Apart from that I'm very impressed with the NAVMAN 520
Regards
Mike |

I can't even get the POI file on to the device. It says 'No storage available on device'. |

Hi,
Think i've sorted it out with my NAVMAN 520.
After using the SmartST program close this program, but keep the Microsoft Sync program open then click the explore button to view the files on your NAVMAN 520.
Copy the files you have copied over and place them in your
\Storage Card\Navman\MyPOI.
Then Start your NAVMAN 520.
Go into Preferences\My Data\My POI then view the imported files.
Then go in to your map view and see the POI's.
I've not tested them out specially the Speed Cameras, at least I can see them. Watch this Space for further reports.

Hi All,
as promised reporting back from my previous post.
I was driving down the A56 in Cheshire near Preston Brook and the NAVMAN 520 came to life with a speed camerea warning of a GATSO.
The above works.
Could do with changing the warning sound any ideas ?

Unfortunately there can be only one warning sound for all the POI's. _________________ Richard

Mike,
Which file did you copy to the Navman? Did you copy it straight from the downloaded database file?

Alex,
All the files supplied in the "pocketgps_uk_sc_Nov05.zip"
csv files\other\pocketgps_uk_gatso.csv
\pocketgps_uk_specs.csv
\pocketgps_uk_redlight.csv
\pocketgps_uk_mobile.csv
\pocketgps_uk_temp.csv
Don't forget to remove the first line in wordpad and save the file.
then do the previous posted item by myself to copy them over to the NAVMAN 520
I've also imported other POI's from www.getoutguide.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/poidownloads/
using the same method and they also show up on the NAVMAN 520.

You shouldn't need to delete the first line in POIs downloaded from getoutguide. Either the first line (Long, Lat, "Name") is already deleted ot it is preceded by a ; which makes it 'invisible' to the Navman POIEditor programme. Also, Notepad is recommended above Wordpad for any editing which may be required. _________________ Tim |

I am having such trouble in getting POI's onto my Navman. I always get a message saying 'no storage available on device' from the POI editor. I have tried everything, even the technical support couldn't help. I'm not sure if i'm supposed to be using .asc or .cvs files but i've tried both. Anyone had this before or any advice?
