Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
Thanks for the advice. Not sure of sample rates, but I converted wav files to ogg and they seem to work well.
Now the only thing I miss from old satnav is the large visual warnings as well as spoken ones for Speed cameras, any one know if it is possible to make the warning icons bigger?
Oldboy, anf ror others wanting two warnings for safety cameras, I have discovered a simpler way to have two warnings than that suggested above.
Download and use Camera manager V2.5 by Ash10.
You get some nice icons, and if you enable each of the new icons in POI's, as well as the safety cameras, you set each of them at a different distance and give then a different warning if you require.
This also saves on doubling up on the number of POI's, saving precious space.
Ash10, a donation will be on its way.
If the above works for you, please donate to Ash10 to. _________________ Mick

Presuming that you are talking about your TT720, are you getting 2 warnings from the PGPSW database or are you using it in combination with the TT database, and getting 1 from each? _________________ Jock

I was wondering that...
If you look at the help file for Ash's utility, it seems to say the double warnings setup is only for Garmins.
Presuming that the version of v2.5 that I've got is the same version of v2.5 that Mick's got, then I couldn't see a way that it could be done (for TT) in the software. I also don't know of any way it can be done on my TT, but given what you've just found out about the TT cameras ... _________________ Jock

No, I have taken off TomToms Speedcameras, and yes I have a TT 720
I only have the PGPSW Speedzoned database and Ash's Utilty.
I found I was only getting one warning with the PGPSW database for each camera location and was about to follow the advise doubling up on camera POI's, but decided to download Ash's utilty first.
When I used Ash's program, which added his icons to the POI's.
I was checking my POI's to see what was added and I noticed his Icons were not enabled.
So I enabled them and out of curosity gave then a different sound file and at a different distance hey presto, two warnings
Hope this helps _________________ Mick

I think you'll find that you have 2 copies of the PGPSW files loaded, with different names.
Humour me and have a look at the following

I'd suggest your next step is to download this little utility, DriveZ
This will enable you to make a list of all the files inside your map folder, which you can then paste here, so we can have a look. Saves a lot of time and guesswork.
Make sure you have UNticked the "Remove extensions" box before you click the big button to make the list in the right-hand window.
Post your results up here and hopefully all will be revealed...
I'd suggest that you make the mask "*.OV2".
If you run that, it will create a list of the OV2s that you can post back here. _________________ Jock

The following are the files added by Ash's utilty that I have enabled and I also get a 1st warning from them.
PocketGPS_UK_Gatso.ov2
PocketGPS_UK_Mobile.ov2
PocketGPS_UK_Redlight.ov2
PocketGPS_UK_Specs.ov2
PocketGPS_UK_Temp.ov2
The other pois e.g. pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.ov2, i set at distance to get a 2nd warning and different warning sound.
-------------------------------------------
I do not know if this throws any light on how it occurs on my TT720, but I originally downloaded the speed zoned database first onto my TT 720.
I then discovered and downloaded Ash's utilty, and put it to work.
and yes, when the latest database was released Ash's utility updated the files . _________________ Mick

The above shows you have both the "consolidated by type" AND the "speedzoned" versions of the database installed. That's why you are getting two warnings.
They might have got added when you installed Ashes utility, but you don't need to have it and the utility isn't actually doing the double warnings, you could have just downloaded both types yourself (as per Oldboy's link in his post on the 4th).
