Hi all!
I had a Quest as Xmas gift..it seems a good toy :-)
Just a question: which is the better way to "visit" another city?
I explain better: I live in north italy, a friend of mine lives in Sicily (south), and (just to show him the power
of my new unit). I wanted to show him the street where he lives and the surroundings..well, the only way I found was enlarging entire Italy map, and then zoom more and more until I reached his house..Is it possible to insert an address for another city so that i can watch the map immediately, without planning a route or zooming trying to guess the exact street?
Yes, if I plan a route I can see the tracking and then I can watch the destination..but often my need is searching an address, looking for a map, a shop, not planning a route..
I hope my old scholastic-english is good to explain my problem :-)
Bye,
Luke (from Italy with a 243 Mb Quest :-) )

Page 16 of the (English Language version) Owner Manual explains in detail how to search for a place using address information. Hopefully your manual has the same info, although if it's in Italian it might not be on the same page. Look in the Index for the section "Finding places and routing to them". Once you've found the address, select "Show map" and.....bingo. _________________ Tim
Thanks for your reply...
At page 16 I have the same information..the problem is that if I insert the address, the Quest prepares a route for that address or POI nearby...
Indeed I'd like to insert the address, and then obtaining the map of that address immediately..the destination, I mean....
I always have to zoom and look for the point of the arrow in the calculated route :-(
