I love all the GPS devices with built in mapping etc but what they really lack is bluetooth to allow them to also be used in car or to a PDA.

Can you ask what the hardware vendors plan to do with Bluetooth, particularly Garmin and Magellelan. An eTrex Vista, or similar, would be neat with bluetooth.

Thanks

Do you realise that you can do this already with the PC-Mobile Bluetooth Adapter ?

Regarding TeleAtlas map coverage of Canary Islands and Rep of Ireland, the last time we spoke with TeleAtlas (Sept 04) both had been put back on the back burner again with no sight of mapping in the forseeable future. Hopefully the team should be able to get some sort of update from TeleAtlas, but I don't believe anything has changed recently.

With Tele Atlas seemingly getting a bigger slice of the GPS market, with the recent addition of PrymeNav to their customer base, perhaps it is time that they started to spend some of their €85 million of profits and revisit their current portfolio of maps to bring them 'up to date' rather than concentrating solely on rapidly extending its European coverage eastwards...

Can Navigon advise whether they are preparing a new product, and how far away from release is it (slightly different question to the above)?

Question for Navman.

SmartST V3 hasn't been out for very long; are Navman (finally) going to offer a competitive upgrade route for existing SmartST owners, particularly those who have just shelled out for V3?

This is one of the most-complained about aspects when it comes to Navman users.

Questions for Tomtom.

Will the new Rider pair with a BT headset and a BT 'phone at the same time?

Will the Rider come with any waterproof certification, such as IPX7?

Will the GO 700 allow cross-border routing at street level?

I did see that recently, but there's nothing like getting rid of all cables, adapters, dongles, widgets etc.

Wireless (or bluetooth) for everything I say! Now if they can just work on power transmission without cables..

Gran.

Is there any change to BT implementation with TT5 for PPC? Will it still block other apps. and is there a work around?

Thanks

With TomTom V5 having it's own POI announcements and Speed Camera database. Is this TomTom's own camera database? and if so how is it going to compare with the Pocketgpsworld one as far as coverage. Will TomTom have the same flexibility with announcements that we have become accustomed to with CheckPOInt and GPSAssist.

Unsure, we don't currently have access to this yet so cannot comment on accuracy and the number of cameras and the source of the cameras.

How was the Wayfinder stand? I haven't heard any information about that yet Laughing

One other thing...I was told by some users that TomTom does demonstrate on their stand TomTom UIQ?! It's very rare....

Thanks Dave, perhaps some one over there might like to ask TomTom, in the mean time I have posted the same to TomTom's support site.
