Hi all. Looking at purchasing a Quest within the next week. My question relates to the active points of interest. After adding POI's (eg. safety camera's), can you specify the distance for the alert (eg. 200m or 1 mile) ? Also, how does the alert display itself ? Is it just audio, or audio and visual on the display ?

Hello keikiwai,
I use Navigon software along with a overlay program called POI-Warner for the Safety Camera POI's (all other types can be added), using this setup you can see a visual warning icon on screen, but like all gps software how far ahead depends on how far you are zoomed into the map.
Audio warnings can be set for all types of poi's with this software, and you can use whatever sound file you like, voice warnings, or just different sounds (noises), whatever you like, these can be set for a first and second warning from 1 second in advance or as much as 30 seconds, or can be played until the warning has passed. My personal settings are first warning at 18 seconds and last warning at 9 seconds in advance of the poi.
