Thank you for all the carefully considered replies to my earlier comments.
I did point out that:

I hope that the forum isnt going to become a place where people are knocked back with 'smart' replies!

... if your memory span is that short maybe you shouldn't be driving in the first place ...
... i hope they do forget they are in a spec's zone and do end up getting a ticket, maybe it will make them concentrate more...
When they are a 100 yds apart or so they are usualy easy to monitor, but, anyone who has travelled over A616 wil be fully aware of the huge distance a set of SPEC's can cover, in this case 6.6 miles! Dual carriageway, open road, classic money maker.
On a more positive note....
I fully agree with Skippy who wrote:
The solution is for the GPS units to get smarter and start monitoring your AVERAGE speed while you are in a SPECS zone and then remind you if your are averaging more than the speed limit.
And agree with Daren when he states:
Which is only feasible on devices that support directional alerts.
But not when he states:
Quote:
Currently that's just Mio.
Sorry, but that is incorrect.
I know this devices isnt a PGSW compatible but there are devices that already do both. The Origin devices B2 and POGO do directional warnings, exceeding speed zone warnings and intermediate bleeps when with a SPECS area with excessive distance between cameras. B2 doesnt map, but the POGO does and the warnings are spot on!
I was just hoping that there was a way with a TT and the PGPSW or other application. Clearly not at present and no plans fror improvement in this regard, so I'll move on. _________________ Fraserp TomTom 1000
