Newsflash:-
This morning on
http://www2.mio-tech.be/draft/mioclub/
there was 3.2 to be dnloaded. Some did it too and soon Mio revoked it back again , just like they revoked their 3.2 docu some time back.
They said " it's a mistake" and the real link will come up soon.
Oh mio ....! what shall we do with you
1st impression from those who were the 'early birds'
..Total install time = 1 hr, 10 minutes
..New teleatlas card
..some glitch with POI , maybe the reason why the hush-hush cover up.
as '&' when more flows in, you know I'll be here, unless someone else beats me to it |

Anyone have any suggestions where I can source a legal copy of Miomap V3 Europe? I have the intention of upgrading my 268 with it, have emailed mio numerous times to no avail, and dont really want the expense of buying a new unit just to get the disk |

I received my first GPS - A Mio P550 - yesterday, and that came with Miomap3.2 on SD
When I ordered it (from http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk ) a week or so ago, it was to have come with V2, but while I was sorting out the financing, I got upgraded!
regards,

It's good to hear that Miomap 3.2 is arriving in the shops. However yours will almost certainly be a slightly different version to that on the C510 and C710 that we are waiting for. I personally wouldn't try to load it onto a different device.
Regarding your TMC question, again I have no experience with the 550 but there is plenty of information on the other devices if you look back through this forum.

I've been trying to get TMC working on my C210, but with no luck.
As a result of this, I'm liaising with a UK distributor who is due to see his Mio Rep shortly.
Hopefully, he'll have answers to some questions I put to him recently and I'l be happy to pass any information on. |

Hi Everyone,
I contacted Mio and to my total amazement received a reply within minutes:
"We will release an update link on our website in about two weeks. With this
link you can update the version 3 on your device so that you can use the TMC antenna.
As soon as this link is available we will also release the TMC antenna for
Mio C210 on our site."
We'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see what (if anything) happens. |

Hi Guys
I have today received my C210 back from Mio in Brussegem and found that it has V3.2 loaded on to it. :D
The reason it went back was because it was not reading "Maps of Europe" from a 2GB SD card (SanDisk).
The home page reads Mio Map v3.2 and in "settings about/maps" it states "Mio Map program version: v3.2 Jul 29 2006" and my system now shows 5 pages of countries - none with MRE against them - and I have tried numerous addresses over the channel with quite a high success rate. :D
So not only have they fixed the SD card reading problem, they have also upgraded it for me as well. :D
cheers

Mitac have now updated the on-line manual to version 3.2, which suggests that this is the version in current production. In common with many other uses, I am waiting to get hold of the latest software version to upgrade my unit.
Since the program disks are not locked to specific units (the licensing control is built into the firmware), any 3.2 disk should work with any compatible unit.
Could I ask please that anyone buying a new C510 or C710 checks the software version of the supplied CD, and lets us know if they have a 3.2? Also there are retailers who advertise on here and presumable read the posts. If any seller finds they have 3.2's in stock I am sure we would all like to know about it.
