hi i have a HP 2110 pda and it wont sync with my pc, a common fault i believe, if i buy a original tomtom 5 software will i be able to install it with the sd card and activate it with the code with out needing a pc?
and where is cheapest to buy the software?

Yes, if you have a card reader you can copy the .cab files (these are just like .zip files) from the install CD's onto the SD card and run them manually from there. |

Has it ever synchronised with your PC?
Have you tried temporarily changing the 2110’s device name? Let us know if that works and I’ll dig out a link to reset the PC side of things so that you can use the original device name again.

Yes, dropping an original TomTom SD card into your PDA will auto install TomTom Navigator. If you do need to active it, you don’t need the PDA to be connected to the PC.
However I would try and get your 2110 to synchronise with you PC, it’s a lot easier to add custom POIs. However a card reader is a useful thing to have as well! ;)

cheers ill buy it then, i have a card reader, i might just buy a new pda as well in the future
it did sync but then stopped, i have tried hard reset and soft reset, i have also tried 4 different comps and still not on any, but i found this http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/view_product.php?product=308
so i think it might be this problem

bloody ebay, i thought i was bidding for a complete tomtom 5 and wired receiver but it wasnt

i think you might have deleted 1 of the items in notification queue ,i had this problem once before with a 2210.... have you had a look use pocket mechanic if you can get it _________________ TomTom 5001 |

how do i get into registery files?
i tried the second part but there is no file application data after my username
when i try connecting with mine it says
YOUR DEVICE WAS NOT DETECTED
DRIVE:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles and delete the profile there.

oh so the softwares free?? doesnt really matter if its a copy then if its free anyway, pretty expensive code tho, where can i buy such a code then?
