Well I took the plunge this evening, and upgraded, thinking that the problems were confined to 39XX owners (I own a 3870).
A BIG MISTAKE!!!
I first removed Nav1, then installed Nav2 from the cd. I used a card reader to install the whole map to the sd card. I then did a soft reset, and fired up Nav2.
I got the initial grey box with IMPORTANT information, blah blah blah. I checked the "Do not show this message again" and tapped "I agree". Navigator then crashes out, but leaves the driver/GPS application running.
I kept trying to start it, but it keeps coming up with the initail grey screen, and it doesn't matter if I choose to not show the message again, it keeps coming up. I have seen the following blue screen on a couple of occasions (about tapping the screen etc) briefly, but it always crashed out.
Any ideas anyone? I have already emailed Tomtom. |
