Hi
After years of bein a tt user I purchased a Nuvi58 today.
My problem is that I can't get Garmin express to work on my computer(xp operating system)
I downloaded the zip file for out of date operating systems but don't know how to install.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Unzip it and double click the .exe file would be my guess.

For XP I think you need to use their legacy programs, so rather than mess about with a zip file download them directly.

For map updates that's MapUpdater, for software its WebUpdater ...

Great.Thanks. The web updater worked successfully.
The mapupdater did until it directed me to the garmin website and the message-No product information found for input. appeared.

Any ideas?

Still can,t register the product though. The Garmin website continues to ask for Garmin express.
I think i'm too out of touch with tech.
Might have to go back to my old tt. Embarassed

Does your nuvi have lifetime maps? If so, which map version is currently installed as it's quite possible you're already up to date.

Yes it'll ask for Express if you select automotive device but you can be a bit sneaky:

•Go to the Garmin website at: www.garmin.com and click on the link at the bottom left hand side of the page marked, “Product Registration.”
•Don't select automotive category, choose Outdoor and Dogs instead.

Then enter your serial number etc Wink
