Hello,
Is it safe to use the google map in Europe and not a portable sat nav?
I am particularly interested in the campsites and water parks in france, spain and Portugal.
thanks

What do you mean by 'safe'? In my view it's not safe to rely on any map completely, whether it be google or on a satnav or indeed on paper. A map is simply a guide, none are 100% accurate.

Having said that I've used Garmin satnavs for many years in France, Spain and Portugal with great success.

Why don't you Google for it Very Happy
Seriously, just look for some POIs around the area in which you are going for the camp sites that you are interested in and also remember that Google maps will cost you roaming data if you have them on a phone. Sad

I use Nokia here , it's free and in the Google store
With that you can download the maps and save them on your phone so no data charges for map usage ,
It has plenty of Preloaded poi's as well as having the option to search the Internet for the ones that are missing it also has the added bonus of traffic info but I'm not sure how accurate it is as I've never used it .
