Could someone with a Noza Tec device please answer the following questions for me

Can the maps/software be run from the SD card?

To update it with own POIs can these be imported from the sd card or does the device have to be physically connected to a PC?

Can new maps be loaded from the SD card or again does it require a direct connection to PC?

Does it power on when external power is applied and then power off when the power is removed?

I am thinking of removing the factory fit Birdview sat nav in my Nissan X-trail and replacing it with one of these devices. If I can load all the updates from an SD card then I can use an extension cable to bring the card out from behind the dashboard.

Many thanks

Rick

Yes

If you have the software running on the card, the POIs go on the card as well. If you want to import stuff from the card to the device, you need a file manager of some sort. The Nozatech comes with WinCE 6 which has a file manager

As above

Yes and Yes

Should be possible. See above. But the WCE is a bit tricky to get out of. I had to turn the device off by press and hold the power key on the top, but if you run the nav from the SD and use the computer to update the SD, there shouldn't be a problem

M8TJT Thanks for all that. It sounds like it will be a doable project.
