Intermittent gps lock

Hope some one can help.

I have a HP2210 and wired tom tom 2 gps system which has been working fine for months.
Travelled to dover at the weekend working fine, upon arrival removed 2210 went to a wedding then two days later coming home plugged 2210 into car holder switched on.
Unable to get a gps lock, then 3sats pop up then disappear, this happens constantly all the way home. Still the same this morning
I've tried several soft resets but to no avail and there isn't any new software installed and the battery didn't run down on the 2210.
Any thoughts appreciated

Tried it just after posting yesterday and works fine now. Haven't changed a thing, ah well must be a microsoft thing
