I'm debating whether or not to upgrade to this device, but have seen a lot of people complaining about this unit and it's constant grey screens and freezing.
So are users still experiencing major issues with this device? |

I went for the 2597LMT and so far its been rock solid.
However, I tend not to use the navigation side as I use the built in Alpine unit in my Honda. The latest colour scheme seems a 'marmite' option as some like it and some don't. Personally I prefer the darker colours.
What I reckon is the best bit is the Smartlink feature that links my phone to the unit and shows what is so far a very accurate traffic display.
If it's any help here is the latest Which? SatNav review best buy's:
1) Garmin 3597LMT (90%)
2) Garmin 2797LMT (88%)
3) Garmin 2598LMT-D (87%)
4) TomTom Via 135M (84%)
5) TomTom Go 400 EU 45 (75%) _________________ Satnav:

thanks I will probably be going for the 3598LMT-D due to the features, etc
i have been using sygic on mobile, but the past 3 updates have not fixed the many bugs in it and have decided to go back to a dedicated PND. |

I've been using the 3598 for the last 8 months without any problems whatsoever. |

Thanks - are the built-in speed alerts/warnings just tones/beeps or voice alerts |

On my old 2200 the overspeed 'bongs' were hardly noticeable. On this 2597 I've turned that feature off because they are far too loud IMO.
