I have recently been allocated a company van, vauxhall vivaro sportive. However i am now on my third satnav as i cannot for the life of me get a satellite signal.I have been told it is because of the heated windscreen but if this is the case how do i get round this problem?Any help and suggestions welcome.

If the law has changed in the last 10ish years, this may help.

What SatNav do you have and which have you tried?

Strange, because there is a topic going on elsewhere saying how sensitive GPS receivers are these days that signals can be detected while travelling in a high-speed train with Metal evaporated windows or even from inside a biscuit tin!

Out of interest, try switching on a satnav BEFORE putting it inside the van to prove it gets a signal outside, then put it in the van without switching off and see what happens.

Well that was an interesting answer NOT! What didn't avail? Did the satnav get a signal outside the van and did it lose it when you moved inside the van with it in your hand? Or what other vail did you get?
